words like chocolate

so rich, it burns

indebted to life’s twists

and turns

up the ladder,

down the chute

too slow you will learn

too fast,

makes your rotting insides churn

you’re like a disease

I pity the fool that you were,

and never cease

blood watered with your tears

salty and bitter,

like the honey you fed

nauseating and clouded,

much like your judgement
