Blue

Smeared kohl, pools of tears

Where's the box of cookies

from Alice in Wonderland

when I need saving,

Where are they

when I need them?

I wonder if they are lost under

The blanketed sky just like I am,

Waiting for rain to wash away

my fears,

my smiles,

my feelings

So I can be just as cold

Some would say as blue as the screens

I watch change with the seasons

A new set of people to just replace

Like those silent, silvery nights

Nandini, I could connect to your poem to so many different levels of 'myself' during my childhood days. You are very talented and so mature at this young age. There is a new meaning of the colour 'Blue' these days, thanks to my little daughter of 21 months who adores this colour.

Have a great life ahead!

With love Sandhya!
